  • Pilgrimage to Rome: the first day

    July 31, 2025

On July 28, 2025 in the evening 50 young Armenian Catholics from Armenia, Georgia and Russia under the guidance of four parish priests – Rev. Fr. Nerses Galstyan, Fr. Hovsep Galstyan, Fr. Anton Antonyan, Fr. Mickayel Dombourian – and H. E. Kevork Archbishop Noradounguian left for Rome for participating in the Jubilee Pilgrimage of Youth.

On July 29, joining nearly half a million young people, who had arrived in Rome from different countries of the world, we organized a prayer procession to the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica. Hours of praying the Rosary under the scorching sun, asking for the intercession of saints, passing through the Holy Door and praying for forgiveness was a unique experience of faith and repentance for us. Most Rev. Fr. Sergey Babajanyan, the parish priest of the Armenian Catholic communities of Krasnodar also joined us.

As it was mentioned before, passing through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica during the Jubilee Year of Hope and praying under special conditions grant full forgiveness of sins with the strength of Christian hope and the opportunity to enjoy abundant divine blessings.
