Guided with the new vision of heading the future
On May 14-18, 2025, H.E. Kevork Archbishop Noradounguian was in the Armenian Catholic communities of Georgia on a pastoral visit. On May 15-16, a work meeting was held at the center of the parish of Tbilisi, with the clergy serving in the local parishes. The meeting was accompanied by the liturgy of the hours and Holy Mass, dinner and conversation.
During the meetings the local parish priests and the Deacon priest introduced the characteristics of their parishes integrally, in both aspects-spiritual and material. The Ordinary Archbishop related his vision on the new path taken by the Ordinariate, the new organizational approach adopted by himself, especially the new system of accounting and of financial management, which have been made more relevant to the modern methods, to the legislation of Armenia and to the requirements of donor organizations, as well as the principles of reporting and transparency, which are of unquestionable value for an ecclesial system. These reforms are meant to find solutions for problems in the financial and economic system of the Ordinariate. They also discussed the strategy of raising the level of the relationships with the benevolent organizations. He expressed his satisfaction with the faithful, who are always standing by the Church, assisting in the overcoming of various challenges.
Rev. Fr. Mikayel Khachkalyan introduced the financial and economic situation of the Armenian Catholic communities of Georgia, which has its peculiarities linked with the legislation of Georgia.
They also had the privilege of hosting H.E. Ante Jozich, the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Armenian and Georgia, who shared his observations regarding the questions in discussion.
Another meeting was held with Mrs. Anahit Mkhoyan, Executive Director of Caritas Georgia, who introduced the modern requirements concerning the development and implementation of projects.
