  • Summer Camp in Tambovka Village, Javakheti, for Children from Tbilisi

“Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”, Mth. 18:3

From July 27 to August 3, 2026, a summer camp is being organized in Tambovka village, near Lake Paravani, for 27 children aged 6 to 14 from the “Mariam” Center of the Armenian Catholic community of Tbilisi. The initiative belongs to the pastor of Tbilisi, Very Rev. Fr. Mikayel Khachkalyan, with the support of four young volunteers.

The goal of the camp is to provide recreation for the children while fostering their spiritual knowledge and social skills. The camp is yet another expression of the mission of Tbilisi’s “Mariam” Center: to nurture a new generation of Armenian Catholics who live by Christian values, love God, and take initiative.

The daily agenda includes religious education classes on the Seven Sacraments of the Church and the Ten Commandments, handicraft sessions, watshing and discussions of Christian-themed films, and moments of common prayer.
