On August 2, 2016 the prime session of the social cooperation support network took place in Yerevan, attended by about 40 delegates of the RA social sphere NGOs, foundations and networks. “Armenian Caritas” was represented by its Advocacy Officer Tigran Petrosyan.
The congress was chaired by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan. The representatives of “Armenian Caritas” Tigran Petrosyan, “Unison” NGO Armen Alaverdyan and the Executive Director of the FAR Children’s Center Mira Antonyan also were in the Chair.
During the session the work procedure was approved and the coordination board consisted of 8 members was elected by voting. The Board should coordinate the activity of the social cooperation support network during the period between the sessions. It will develop a one-year activity program for the network aiming to perform need assessment of socially vulnerable groups, to identify evolving social problems and development of effective mechanisms of solution.
