On August 2, 2026, His Excellency Archbishop Kevork Noradounguian attended the celebration dedicated to the 196th anniversary of the village of Toria in the Akhalkalaki region of Javakheti. The Ordinary Archbishop celebrated a Holy Mass in the village church, concelebrated by the parish priest, Fr. Anton Antonian, and Fr. Kevork Sargsyan, who was also present at the festive celebrations. In his sermon, His Excellency congratulated all the inhabitants of Toria on the occasion of the village feast day, expressing his fatherly gratitude for their long spiritual history, their efforts in preserving and developing Armenian Catholic identity, and for standing alongside Armenian Catholic clergy. The Holy Father also delivered words of blessing during the festive event, organized in the village following the Holy Mass.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the same day, the official opening ceremony of the newly built sports school in the village took place. The construction project of the sports school was implemented within the framework of the “Help to the Village” project, through the initiative and efforts of local self-government bodies. This facility is intended to contribute to the development of active sports life in the village and brings great joy, especially to the youth. The symbolic ribbon for the opening of the newly constructed sports school was cut by Archbishop Kevork Noradounguian, Vahan Aroyan, the Chairman of the Ninotsminda Sakrebulo, and Ani Mosoyan, the Mayor of Ninotsminda. The festive event continued with beautiful concert performances.<\/p>\n
